Trust & Safety

At Tourivo / Tourivobook, our goal is to help travelers book with confidence and help local businesses grow responsibly. This page explains how we promote safety, transparency, and trust on our platform.

1) Clear listings and transparency

We encourage all providers to publish clear and accurate information, including:

  • Pricing and what’s included / not included

  • Meeting points, pickup details, and start times

  • Entry requirements (ID, age limits, licenses)

  • Cancellation and refund policies

  • Safety notes and what to bring

If something looks unclear, contact us and we’ll help verify details.

2) Partner standards (vendors & operators)

Providers are expected to:

  • Deliver services as advertised

  • Communicate promptly and professionally

  • Follow local laws and licensing requirements

  • Maintain safety equipment (where relevant)

  • Respect customer privacy and use customer data only to fulfill bookings

We may remove listings or suspend providers who repeatedly fail to meet these standards.

3) Reviews and accountability

Reviews help travelers make better choices. We allow customers to leave reviews after a genuine experience and we monitor for:

  • Fake reviews

  • Abusive or misleading content

  • Manipulation of ratings

We may remove reviews that violate our rules.

4) Payments and fraud prevention

Where online payments are available, we use reputable payment partners and basic fraud controls.
We never ask you to share passwords or sensitive payment details via chat.

Tip: Always confirm:

  • The provider name

  • The booking details

  • The cancellation policy before paying

5) Safety for tours, charters, and outdoor activities

For activities such as boat charters, hiking, diving, and tours, we recommend:

  • Follow the provider’s safety instructions

  • Check age/fitness requirements

  • Ask about equipment and insurance if needed

  • Arrive early at meeting points

  • Avoid risky behavior (especially at sea)

Weather and safety: In many cases, operators may cancel for safety reasons. The listing policy should explain whether you will receive a refund or reschedule.

6) Emergency guidance

If there is an immediate safety concern:

  • Contact local emergency services first: [Emergency number in Seychelles: 999]

  • Then contact our support team so we can assist and document the issue.

7) Reporting issues

If you see a listing that may be inaccurate, unsafe, or suspicious—or if something goes wrong during a booking—please report it.

When contacting us, include:

  • Listing name

  • Date/time of booking

  • Provider name (if available)

  • What happened + screenshots (if any)

8) Your responsibility as a traveler

To help keep the community safe:

  • Read listing details carefully

  • Respect local laws and property rules

  • Treat providers and staff with respect

  • Provide honest reviews

  • Don’t share personal passwords or sensitive payment details

9) Updates to Trust & Safety

We may update this page as the platform grows and new safety standards are added.
